From the bride…We met through a mutual friend when we were 18 & 19 (at a bonfire at Kyle’s house). We were both in other relationships at the time, but soon after we met we actually ended up both being single. We started off spending time together because kyle would actually help me with my college algebra I had been struggling with! I never would have thought that someone I randomly met at a bonfire, would end up being my soul mate. After getting to know each other we soon realized we were perfect for each other.
Tell us about the proposal:
It was a normal work day for me. I got home from work, threw on some comfy clothes and proceeded to the kitchen to discuss dinner plans with kyle. He suggested we just make something easy and then maybe we should go out for ice cream for dessert! After dinner, we headed to princeton to grab some ice cream from our favorite shop “Halo Pub.” But first, kyle requested we walk around a little bit…which is what we always do when we go to Princeton. (The only odd part was that it was November…and chilly outside! Somehow I still was not catching on to any of this). We walked around Palmer Square a bit and all of a sudden Kyle started to slow his walk when we arrived in front of a patch of trees covered in glistening White Christmas lights. He looked at me and took my hands, as I was confused and really hoping he was not pranking me! I could tell he was soo nervous…he started off with telling me how much I mean to him and that’s when I realized what was happening! Kyle got down on one knee and popped the question. Of course I said YES! And no, we didn’t actually end up getting ice cream…I was too overwhelmed with happiness to eat dessert!
Describe your relationship in one sentence:
Our life together is full of love, support, fun, and laughter!
What are you most excited about for your wedding?
I’m mostly excited to walk down the asile and see Kyle’s face as he sees me in my gown for the first time. I am also excited to party with all of my family and friends!
