When you think of summer weddings, soirees like Kelly and Jeremy’s most likely come to mind. Crystal-clear skies, a beautiful setting overlooking golf course vistas, and a classic color palette are just a few details you’ll find in this gallery. It’s easy-going meets timeless elegance and you can take a peek at all the pretty that Meely Photography captured behind the lens below.
From Meely Photography…Kelly & Jeremy had a beautiful day at the Cherry Valley Country Club, as soon as I pulled up to the grounds I instantly felt like I was warped into a secluded hideaway… it is a gorgeous well kept secret. At first I was worried if I took the wrong turn. Kelly & Jeremy have the most easy-going carefree, fun relationship – these two know how to joke around … and on what can be sometimes somewhat stressful in moments – not these two, all was easy breezy. They danced the night away and just had a party to remember!
Tell us about your love story.
We knew each other for about 4 years before we start dating. We were both newly single and Jeremy’s step mom mentioned I was single, and Jeremy asked me out for drinks. The rest is history I suppose. We moved in together after 6 months, and were engaged 10 months after that!
Did you incorporate any sentimental details in your wedding decor?
Some special details of our wedding were definitely the cake cutter we used. It belonged to Jeremy’s grandmother who passed away 6 years ago. Having our niece and nephew be part of the ceremony was definitely special. The vows we wrote to each other were so special and heartfelt, and having our good friend preform the ceremony made it all the more intimate.
Do you have any advice for any couples who are planning their wedding?
Don’t let anyone influence your big day! If you have a vision of what you want, go for it. Even if it’s gothic themed or rainbows and unicorns. Most importantly, have fun! You’re there to get married, as long as that happens the night was a success. Don’t sweat the small stuff.
Life isn’t perfect. Make sure you marry someone that you can go through normal day to day life with. It’s not always rainbows and butterflies and having someone who supports you during dark, or boring, times is key.
