From the bride…We got engaged over a game of “pictionary” that I bought for my parents at their house on christmas day. It happened at night and it became our turn after my sister and dad went. He proceeded to draw and I finally guessed engagement ring. He slid the chair out, got down on one knee, and said “A, I love you so much, will you marry me?” I said yes with no hesitation. I was so surprised and everyone knew it was going to happen for months. The moment we were walking back down the isle and we looked at each other and said “We did it! We finally are married!!!!” Skipping away like there was no worry in the world. It’s a feeling you only can do once or even experience once especially with your true love.
The girls at davids bridal initially picked out 4 dresses and one of them was the one I picked out when I walked in. After trying the others on, I kept going back to the one I actually picked which made me feel like it was a natural choice and the one. It was an “A-line” type dress with lace sleeves and beautiful detail.
The ceremony arch was one detail I couldn’t live without for our wedding. I had my florist drape linens I bought so it looked very rustic alongside the gorgeous accent piece she made.
Our colors for our wedding were a burgundy and blush palate. We also went for romantic, relaxed and rustic feel through out our whole ceremony and reception.
