This Jersey Shore wedding is what nautical elegance is made of! A blush and blue color scheme, soft florals, romantic portraits, and a reception locale right on the water?! Yes, pleaseee! These details are giving us all the coastal wedding vibes today and Heyn Photography is sharing a glimpse into Greg and Ashli’s special day below. We promise these images will speak to your beach loving heart.
From Heyn Photography…Greg and Ashli’s Mallard Island Yacht Club wedding was an absolute dream. Our couple met in high school but didn’t truly hit it off until one summer in college when Ashli and her friends rented a beach house and invited Greg and his friends to visit. Sparks flew and the rest is history. The beach was a very important element of our couple’s love story so they chose to have an August wedding at Mallard Island.
We started off our day with the bride and groom getting ready in their respective suites. Truly the word “suite” is a major understatement when describing these incredible rooms. We had a blast with Ashli and her bridal party as they danced around, drank champagne and popped a bottle of confetti to start off the celebrations. We utilized every gorgeous aspect of the bridal suite from the windows to the antique mirror to the incredible draped platform sleeping area to get portraits of our beautiful bride.
Then we headed to Saint Francis the wedding ceremony. Ashli and Greg both beamed with smiles as they said their “I do’s” and kissed as husband and wife. We took advantage of the beautiful church for family photos and then headed back to Mallard Island for the rest of the special day. The yacht club has lots of incredible nooks and pathways with gorgeous arches and architecture. We stopped with our couple and snagged some incredibly romantic photos.
It was time to reunite with our bridal party and we decided on the chapel area. This was the perfect setting for both fun photos of the bridal party and then later some serious ones of our couple. Ashli and Greg looked so iconic and beautiful. We decided to up the drama even more and took them out onto the dock and then the jetty where the photos left us simply breathless. After a lovely cocktail hour outside, we made our way in for the reception. With Jay Jani entertaining, the party never stopped. There was a point where we actually felt the dance floor bouncing up and down from how many people were dancing and getting rowdy. The toasts had everyone in tears and we can honestly say the best man’s toast was one of the best we have ever heard. We ended our night with everybody heading downstairs with sparklers to celebrate our couple.
Ashli and Greg’s wedding was everything a photographer could dream of: A beautiful couple who are both incredibly sweet people, and gorgeous venue, and everybody wanting to have fun. We are so happy for the newlyweds and wish them a lifetime of happiness together.
