This elegant New Jersey wedding at the Park Chateau Estate & Gardens shared by our friends at Limelight Entertainment, has us completely smitten! There’s details upon details, including some of the prettiest whimsy florals we laid eyes on. But first, let’s get to know the bride and groom. Christina and Matt met while working together at a golf club just before graduating high school. The two became close friends before dating, just before Matt left for bootcamp for the US Coast Guard. They spent months sending handwritten letters to each other and Christina even traveled thousands of miles back-and-forth to visit him, which eventually led her to Washington, D.C. Fast forward to August of 2017, Matt got down on one knee on the bridge in Spring Lake–right by the church they hoped to one day wed in–just after purchasing their first home here in New Jersey. Isn’t this such a sweet story!! Get ready to pin your hearts away, but first continue reading below for more details about their wedding day.
From Limelight Entertainment…Christina and Matt’s wedding at the Park Chateau Estate & Gardens in East Brunswick, NJ was like a fairy tale come true! The Park Chateau Estate & Gardens is on 15 acres of private land. It feels like yesterday we were photographing these two love birds on their engagement session in Spring Lake with their little furbaby, Zoey. We were SO excited to now photograph and celebrate their wedding day! Walking into bride prep we found Christina sitting in a salon chair getting her gorgeous locks styled by Jennifer Macrina of Happily Ever After Hair. Christina’s hair was styled in a low elegant bun with a few ‘messier’ strands on either side of her face. She included two beaded hair clip accessories to add a little sparkle to her upswept do. With her hair pulled back, Christina Dellanno of Perfect Bridals by Christina was able to emphasize Christina’s natural (and gorgeous!) features. She did a beautiful job with Christina’s makeup, natural with a bold eye was the perfect look. Already looking as beautiful as ever, Christina greeted us with warm smiles. She was so excited the day was here and she was going to marry her best friend. Christina and Matt planned out the most stunning details for their wedding day! Colors of gold, champagne, dove, blush, black and ivory were noticeable in each and every detail. Dorian and Cathy of Wallflowers created the most extravagant florals for Christina and Matt’s wedding day. Christina must have picked seven different types of flowers to design her bouquet with and WOW! It was eye-catching!!! Their wedding invitations, made by Little Black Dress Paperie, were so simple and elegant! Etched into the invitations was a gold foil sketch of the Park Chateau Estate & Gardens. The stationery coordinated so well with the scheme of the wedding. The overall style of their wedding was very formal and elegant. Continuing with details, we pulled out Christina’s Jimmy Choo heels, and my-oh-my these were stunning!! Piece by piece we added each detail to the scene we created and everything looked absolutely perfectly placed together. Her gorgeous jewelry from Neves Jewelers glistened in the window light. Christina had thought of everything! After a couple of bridal portraits it was time to take Christina out for her first look in the garden. She couldn’t wait to see Matt for the first time that day. She slowly walked up to Matt, he looked dashing wearing a black tuxedo from Men’s Warehouse. As Matt turned around, the biggest smile formed and Christina shed a few happy tears. It was almost like time stopped for these two lovebirds so they could share their special moment. Matt had the guys wearing black tuxedos, which was very formal and chic. No boutonnieres for the guys, aside from Christina’s man-of-honor, her brother Michael. The girls wore beautiful unique dove and champagne sequin dresses. Taking in the beautiful landscape Park Chateau Estate & Gardens had to offer, we utilized the space in their garden for photography. The ceremony was at Christina’s and Matt’s church, St. Catharine’s Church in Spring Lake. Their wedding mass was sweet and sentimental. The couple shared their first kissed and walked hand-in-hand down the aisle as their loved ones cheered on. We headed across the lake to photograph the newly weds and recreate one of their favorite engagement photographs. We spent some time at the lake and then headed back to the Park Chateau. It was time to get the party started!!! Brian Kirk and the Jirks sang and got everyone moving with their high energy. There really is nothing like live music but these guys take it to another level! Visiting guests at tables and even hopping into the Limelight Photo Booth, they had fun with the crowd and kept the energy high all night long. Everyone danced the night away and had so much fun!
I had always anticipated wearing something unique, something very couture and original… but then one day after WAY too many dresses, I tried on this very traditional, simple, yet delicately feminine Amsale gown and completely fell in love. I knew Matt would love it too! I incorporated my love for lace and Italian style in my cathedral length, lace-trimmed veil. For Matt it was easy. Saint Catharine’s, as well as the Park Chateau, was definitely tux-worthy. It was the obvious decision, and it looked so elegant.
Our wedding was absolutely perfect! From the venues and vendors we chose to the little details that brought everything together, we could not have imagined a more incredible day. We knew we wanted a traditional Catholic ceremony and a classic, elegant reception with all our family and friends. Our color palette consisted of golds, blush, and dove grey which were perfectly reflected in our invitation suite, bridesmaids dresses, florals, and overall decor. Matt and I chose to do a first look (for a couple reasons) so that was what we were both really looking forward to all morning. I think we would both agree however, that despite sharing a first look, when it came time to walk down the isle in church, nothing was more special than that very moment. We were both so filled with emotion and there are no words to describe that feeling. It was magical.
Flowers played a huge role in the decor for our wedding. We wanted our bridal party florals to be neutral, yet defined. We chose peonies, garden roses, amnesia roses, and muted greenery for the girls, and a white queen protea as the centerpiece of my bridal bouquet. It was a beautiful combination!
As far as the reception, we wanted a pop of color so chose fuschia cockscomb to add to the bunch. We had four different centerpieces throughout the ballroom which really gave it a unique look. Dorian really embraced my vision and made sure every little detail was spot-on, her and her team were amazing!
