Is there anything more dreamy than a Central Park engagement? This session captured by Myra Roman Photography will instantly have you second guessing any other location you might be considering for your e-session. Not to mention, this adorable duo is the definition of #couplegoals! From the bride-to-be AND groom’s fashion-forward style to romantic strolls through the park, and even some twirls mixed in with lots of kisses, this is one gallery you don’t want to miss! Plus they’re sharing their proposal story below.
From the Bride…Allan proposed to be on a Sunday night. He was just so thoughtful in how he proposed. It was an ordinary day for us (well for me at least!). We had went to church already that morning and hung out the entire day that day. Then we went over to grab dinner at one of our regular spots in downtown Jersey City. He asked me if I wanted to get popsicles (palletas) after dinner and of course I’m always down for anything with popsicles and ice cream in the summer! He said that it was by Exchange Place and that we can just walk there. I’m not sure if you’re familiar with Jersey City/downtown area but the Exchange Place area overlooks Manhattan skyline so it was around sunset when he proposed. Allan loves sunsets so I understood why he wanted to go there to check out the sunset.
When we reached the area where the popsicle stand was supposed to be, there were 4 fully bloomed lilies lined up (each lily represented a year of us dating) and each lily had a post-it note “Year 1”, “Year 2”, “Year 3”, and “Year 4″ leading to 1 lily that wasn’t bloomed yet that represented the years to come. Next to this 1 lily laid a journal that we shared over the past couple years. In this journal we write letters to each other, he gave it to me knowing that I have a difficult time communicating sometimes and he finds that me writing it down will help me to communicate. So ever since he gave me that journal, we’ve been giving each other hand-written letters ever since. So in that journal he wrote, “will you marry me?” & he also verbally asked me that, of course!
