How gorgeous of a couple does this adorable duo make? And their wedding at Eagle Oaks Country Club? PERFECTION! The two knew they wanted to keep their wedding style simple, elegant and reflective of their personal styles, and they absolutely nailed it. The bride wore a gorgeous Pronovias gown with a deep V-neckline, her grandmothers and great grandmothers veil from Italy, BHLDN sandals, and Emerald color earrings, while Paul chose a jacket from a custom shop in Boston, a modern black bow tie, and wore cufflinks from his nana from when he was younger. Add in lush florals filled to the brim with greenery, ceremony programs with a hand painted illustration of the church by the bride’s uncle, an elegant framed seating chart, and gold accents and you have yourself a timeless celebration to last a lifetime. From the bride…We wanted the day to reflect our lives together as much as possible. We are both fairly traditional people while at the same time very laid back. We never took more than 1 day to decide on any particular wedding decision! We knew from the beginning we wanted green and gold accent colors. Green for our college school color (Loyola Maryland) as well as for the fact that Paul has a bunch of succulents and green plants around our current home. Gold because all the jewelry I always wear, including my engagement ring, is gold. Additionally, we wanted our families involved as much as possible, so we added sweet touches from them throughout the day! Also our wedding parties picked out their own outfits and they did amazing jobs!!! I told the bridesmaids to wear neutral colors of pink, gold, or cream, and they all ended up picking light pink dresses that miraculously flowed so well together. It almost looked like it was planned!

Something we both feel strongly about is that family and friends are SO important in life. Having all of them together to witness us start the next chapter of our lives together meant the world to us. Also the fact that we had 3 grandmothers in their mid 90s in attendance was so special to us. We know our love for each other is strong, but seeing how strong others peoples love for us was, was indescribable. Just saying our vows was surreal, and looking out into the audience and seeing so many happy faces.

Let’s talk wedding decor. How did you decorate your space for the ceremony and the reception? Was any part of the decor DIY?
Reception: We knew we wanted to keep it simple and save as much money as possible, so we used 90% greenery! Our green accent color! Our florist was amazing and made the most beautiful arrangements out of a bunch of greens with a few of the arrangements having a small amount of white flowers mixed in. The one thing we did splurge on was a few of the tables had some beautiful overlays that were shipped in from Minnesota, the same ones my cousin used at his wedding 3 years before us! The cocktail hour florals were made by my mom and sister!! And we gave them to guests as they left the brunch the next day! Ceremony: We kept the ceremony super simple, since the church itself was BEAUTIFUL! We handed out programs that had a watercolor of the church on the front. My uncle painted that photo of the church special for us.

Did you personalize the day in any way? What were some of your favorite parts of your wedding?
We tried to personalize EVERYTHING, yet at the same time, not spend a lot of time doing anything. We had my uncle paint a photo of the church that we used on everyone’s program. I wore my grandmothers/great-grandmothers veil from Italy, which is over 100 years old. We found a place in NJ that restored it- which took a month to do! I wore emerald earrings in honor of Loyola, where Paul and I met We had a pizza truck come at 10:30pm. I had to show the Irish (Paul’s family) how us Italians party. Photos of our grandfathers who had passed were on our grandmothers flowers, my bouquet, as well as on the entry table when you walked in. Instead of favors we donated to the American Heart Association and Cancer Society in honor of our grandfathers who passed. I had three favorite parts from the wedding: standing on the alter with Paul in front of all of our friends and family. Dancing to apple bottom jeans with Paul on the dance floor (first song we danced to) in 2007. Back at our hotel room at 2am, we ate Italian subs and talked about how perfect the day was!
