At first glance you never would have guessed it rained throughout this entire engagement session. But with an adorable couple (who is clearly very much in love), two bubble umbrellas, and a lovely garden setting, this Brooklyn engagement session turned out to be absolutely picture perfect. From Karina Mekel Photography…I loved this Brooklyn Botanical Garden engagement shoot with Juliette + Brian! These two drove down to New York from Boston for the weekend and what a perfect opportunity to take in the beautiful gardens! They chose this location for their shoot because they love the greenery and like to visit Botanic Gardens + Arboretums when traveling to new places. I do too!! I have a special love for the BBG because I also had my engagement photos done here before our wedding! It’s a lush, beautiful place with so many great areas to wander and spend the day- any season of the year!
Juliette met Brian in college at a Fraternity party at MIT on Fourth of July! They’d coordinated to go to a concert with friends the following week and when their friends bailed, they ended up going just the two of them. That’s when they hit it off. They’ve been dating for over 7 years now and got engaged this past May! Brian proposed when they were on vacationing in Seattle! He’d coordinated with a planner to book a private room at a restaurant for dinner and filled it with her favorite flowers, sunflowers! Juliette also proposed to Brian that same night! They both have engagement rings to symbolize their love!
It rained throughout the session but we had umbrellas on hand + it made for a beautiful day with less crowds! We even wandered inside the conservatory and found a gorgeous desert room! We were so excited to see all of the beautiful cacti and succulents! Juliette grew up in Arizona so it was extra special! I love the way Brian made Juliette laugh throughout the session and you can tell that they have so much chemistry!!
