We’re kicking off the week with this downtown Princeton engagement session captured through the lens of Jaye Kogut Photography. From the blooming landscape to the pastel colors and golden hour light, we can’t help but to daydream of warm spring days ahead! Plus, is there anything more adorable than a furbaby dressed to the nines in a flower collar? Take a peek at this engagement gallery below. We promise it’s a good one!
From Jaye Kogut Photography…A+J were the sweetest – I’ve actually known A for a few years now and when she reached out about her engagement I was completely honored and flattered to be considered for the job! We ventured around the campus of Princeton University to capture the unique character and architecture of the buildings A wore a beautiful lace off the should dress for her first outfit and J looked dapper in his button down and slacks to keep it relaxed. Casa Aziz did an amazing job on A’s hair and makeup – she looked flawless! After some photos on campus, A and J changed into their second outfits – A specifically chose a red dress because that was the color dress she wore on her first date with J! These two looked awesome in both of their outfits and I loved their natural interaction with each other – cuddling and holding each other! I honestly cannot wait for their wedding next year! Of course, no photo shoot would be complete without their adorable dog – LUCY!
How did you meet?
We met on Bumble! In which case I initiated the convo but we definitely had an instant connection. Jon actually printed out and framed our initial conversation as gift for our first Christmas!
Tell us about the proposal.
Jon proposed the night be bought the ring! He was planning on waiting until Christmas eve but couldn’t wait. He came in the door from Tiffany’s in New York City and asked me to meet him under our Christmas tree. It was perfect because his excitement was infectiousness before I even knew what was happening! What I loved most though was that it was just us in our favorite place, it really allowed us to enjoy the moment together.
Did you select a color palette for your wedding?
Growing up on the Jersey Shore, I have always loved soft beachy colors so our venue is perfect place to reflect the same. We are going with soft pinks and blues with a hint of white and tan. Jon likes to tease me because I have a whole power point ready to go for correlating decor ideas!
Are there any details you would like to share about your upcoming wedding?
I love little details so I plan on incorporating little bumble bees where possible to pay homage to our romantic start!
