If you haven’t already noticed, we have such a soft spot for rustic weddings and engagements. But when you add in gorgeous golden hour lighting and a location with sentimental value behind it, well, then that’s just the icing on the wedding cake! From Lovely Valentine Photography…Cory is lucky enough to have a historic family farm in Portland, Connecticut. His grandparents and uncle live there and take care of the beautiful gardens and farm. It is a true paradise that will be in the family for generations to come. What better spot to have Emily and Cory’s engagement photos! We took a tour around the grounds, visiting the cows, chickens, cats, and a shy but colorful pheasant. The highlight was the beautifully manicured gardens, which were designed by Cory’s uncle who is also a painter with a studio in the re-purposed barn. It was such a perfect and relaxing day being able to spend it in such a beautiful spot.
