A CHIC SPRING WEDDING AT PERONA FARMS BY JULIET MACEY PHOTOGRAPHY
This spring wedding captured by Juliet Macey Photography is equally as elegant as it is fun! You can just tell in each and every photo how much the couple was completely in their element and enjoyed every single part of their wedding day. Plus, there’s details at every turn including wedding day stationery with personalized wax seals, signature drinks, a champagne tower, and TWO completely different looks for the bride including a haircut right before changing into her party dress. The two even wore matching Nike sneakers for the reception. How adorable! You just have to see all of the chic and trendy details throughout this spring wedding at The Refinery at Perona Farms below!
From Juliet Macey Photography…What an amazing wedding day it was for Rebeca and Chris! They got married at the beautiful Perona Farms in Andover Sparta, New Jersey. It was a perfect day too. The sun was shining with hardly a cloud in the sky. They were the only wedding that day so we could make use of the entire venue at any time! And Perona Farms being the size that it is with tons of options for photos locations, this was a major plus! Chris’ older sister was their wedding planner. So you know they were in good hands every step of the way! She kept everyone on schedule and the whole day went smoothly! That’s extremely hard to do on wedding days. And everything was so chill and calm. I was almost relaxed!! The girls started getting ready in their matching feathery pajamas and matching sunglasses while blasting Taylor Swift. It was the perfect way to start a wedding day!!
Their first look under the willow tree in the back of Perona Farms. This is (imo) the BEST spot for a first look at Perona Farms! The willow tree is huge and gorgeous at every angle. There’s plenty of room too to get photos of all the angles! They then shared private vows together. We walked off out of ear shot giving them a personal moment to share their romantic intentions together as husband and wife.
The ceremony was held at the Refinery. Sun peeked through the open roof of the half outdoor ceremony space as guests filed in. Rebeca and Chris opted for a foot washing ceremony. A symbolic act that represents the vocation of service, humility and equality that Christ’s followers should practice. As two very devout people, they were elated to share this moment during their ceremony, in front of all their family and friends.
After they were declared husband and wife, it was time to celebrate! For their reception they had SO MANY fun things happen! Each bridal party entered with choreographed dance! The girls threw confetti and the guys did a salsa! But that’s not we’re the battle of the bridesmaid vs groomsmen ended. They also had a lip sync battle! Chris with his groomsmen sang “That’s What I Like” by Bruno Mars to Rebecca while having another choreographed dance! While the bridesmaids and Rebecca jumped up from their seats at the same time to sing “Marry You” by Bruno Mars. Both performances were amazing!! It was so fun to watch! But only one could be the winners. By way of applause, the girls were deemed the winners of the lip sync battle!!
Rebeca had her hair cut by a family friend during cocktail hour! You read that right. It was time for a ceremonial chop! She cut about 4 inches off!! Her family friend then restyled her hair down so she could surprise everyone with her new look! Chris’ dad had a special moment dedicated to his down and new daughter in law during the reception. He played a song for the them on his saxophone during dinner. It was so beautiful! He is an incredibly talented sax player. Chris and Rebeca were blown away by his performance!
Then it was time for the champagne tower!! One of my personal favorites of the night! Rebeca and Chris got to pour champagne down the champagne glass tower! They looked just so cool and classy doing it! It was so much fun and they were smiling and laughing the whole time. They ended the night with a private last dance. They swayed and serenaded each other the whole time. It was a lovely way to conclude their wedding reception. But that wasn’t the last thing they did! After their private last dance, it was time for the sparkler exit!! All their wedding guests were waiting for them after their private moment to send them off! Everyone cheered them on and wished them well. Now, their last amazing exciting thing planned, their honeymoon in Hawaii!!
