It goes without saying we love big weddings, but we’ve come to love smaller, intimate soirees just as much! This micro styled shoot captured by KSS Photography is no exception! It’s filled with just enough details to demonstrate how you can still celebrate in an elegant and joyful way. The couple, Lauren and Jeff, even had to postpone their destination wedding last year and opted for a micro wedding themselves. Take a peek at all the pretty and continue reading for more details from Sun & Moon Planning, LLC.
From Sun & Moon Planning, LLC…We were very interested in showcasing a micro-wedding, and Venue by P was the perfect size and style for our stylized photo shoot. Micro-weddings have become a trend with many couples opting to celebrate but with a downsized guest list. The final images reflect our intent, to showcase that these weddings could still exude beautiful classic and romantic details with soft pink and neutral hues.
Every wedding and event begins with a vision of what that special occasion will entail, from décor to overall guest experience. In a fashion-focused inspiration shoot, a model’s hair, makeup, jewelry, and shoes makes all the difference in conveying the right vibe and presenting enough ideas for brides-to-be. As a wedding planner and stylist, the details are very important to me. I want to tell my client’s wedding story that is meaningful and unique to them. Consequently, I put the emphasis on the small details, the dress of the bride, the tie on the groom, an acrylic name setting, party favors gift, etc. Every little detail has been selected with care from the welcome sign, to the chinaware at the reception and the choice of the gorgeous romantic flowers with our couple in mind.
Lauren and Jeff, are a young and contemporary couple. In fact, the two met in two different dating apps, Plenty of Fish and Tinder, which matched them perfectly. The second time around they actually went on a date and have been together since. The styled shoot had to reflect the modern romantic sweetness between them. This was felt starting with the beautiful vows, the soft flicker of candlelights, the soft sexiness of her gown, the romantic swags over the chairs, the wall of roses, a cake decorated with romantic trims and sugared flowers, not to mention their signature drink served in the bar station. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to have gotten to know Lauren and Jeff and be able to create a lovely experience for them.
We kept the floral details very classy, elegant and pure in beautiful hues of white, pink and ivory colors. We also took advantage of the timing, which is the start of the wedding season to use the gorgeous roses and ivory hydrangeas for each bouquet and centerpiece. The backdrop for the ceremony arch was a timeless endless gold frame accented with flowers.
These photos will always be a memory of a time when things were tough, but all my talented vendors came together sacrificing their time, talent and dedication to bring in a gorgeous décor into the current uncharted wedding territory. My wish is that all weddings, big or small, can be more carefree in the future.
