A CLASSIC COASTAL NJ WEDDING AT CRYSTAL POINT YACHT CLUB BY NICOLE KLYM PHOTOGRAPHY
When it comes to classic coastal wedding vibes, Kathleen and James’ wedding truly delivers! From the color palette incorporating shades of blue to the waterside backdrop of Crystal Point Yacht Club, there’s no denying this New Jersey wedding is full of pretty inspiration. Plus, we can’t get enough of the whimsy florals incorporating white anemone, blush peonies, light blue delphinium, white roses, ranunculus, and hydrangeas. Luckily, Nicole Klym was behind the lens throughout the day’s events and is sharing a closer look at the details below.
From the bride…Our wedding day was truly everything I dreamed of plus more! It was so hard to keep changing the date and then finding out five weeks before, we had to find a new venue. However, it turned out better than anything I could imagine. The only word besides perfect to describe our wedding day would be “unbelievable”. It felt like a dream.
Kathleen and James postponed their wedding twice due to the pandemic and even changed the location five weeks before the third and final date. Despite these major setbacks, they didn’t let this challenge stop them from finally tying the knot on May 7, 2021. “This was going to be the best day of our lives, and it was so exciting to plan a day that was going to begin the rest of our lives together,” the bride shared.
Navy and slate with accents of peony pink and white created the color palette for a classy, coastal celebration with a touch of farmhouse décor.
Five weeks prior to May 7th, Kathleen and James found out they were not able to get married at their original venue. With immediate panic setting in, the bride and her mom quickly began calling locations. Crystal Point was initially booked, but the following day they received a call with a last-minute opening. Kathleen and James headed to the facility and knew it was meant to be. They loved everything about the Crystal Point from the waterside setting and cocktail hour room to the self-serving beer taps. The staff, too, were welcoming from the start and helped the couple make wedding magic happen with a short timeline.
Nicole Klym Photography was behind the lens throughout the wedding day capturing all the special moments on camera. “Nicole was so organized, kind, and professional. She was so amazing even with all the postponements and the last-minute venue change. Nicole was always offering to help in any way she could. I am truly so grateful for her. Not to mention, Nicole’s work is incredible!”
Two variated centerpieces topped each tablescape inside the ballroom at Crystal Point. Navy napkins accented the white linens, while candles created a romantic glow. Every table also had a rustic, stained piece of wood with a cursive table number written on it.
The couple shared their first dance to “The Way You Look Tonight” by Frank Sinatra, which they practiced dancing to in their kitchen leading up to their wedding day.
