A Barnegat Lighthouse Beach Engagement Session

From Limelight Entertainment…Barnegat Lighthouse is where Andrew proposed to Kristin, so of course, we did their engagement session at this special location! Every year Kristen and Andrew do the Lighthouse Challenge of NJ, which requires driving to all the different lighthouses during a specific weekend. The Barnegat Lighthouse is their favorite lighthouse. When Andrew popped the question at the top, Kristin couldn’t believe it and asked him a gazillion times if he was sure. We photographed [their engagement session] at the different trails around the Lighthouse, looking and finding the best lighting scenarios to photograph Kristen and Andrew in. It was the perfect day out, and the sun just peaked in behind the overcast of clouds. We headed to the beach right before sunset to photograph them on the beach and shoreline. Capturing romantic and silly portraits, we ended the session inside the ocean, where our couple shared kisses among one another.
Kristen wore a navy floral wrap dress. She had on cute nude heels to complement the dress. Andrew had on tan dress pants and a white button-down shirt, and he rolled up the sleeves to his elbows. We love that their outfits were very coordinated!!
“A mutual friend of ours has been asking me what type of ring I wanted for years and each time I told her I had no idea. I love simple jewelry and what Andrew picked out for me is absolutely perfect, and I love the fact that he chose it for me. The ring is white gold with a round diamond and six prongs. Neither of us would be able to tell you anything more about it because we still know nothing about engagement/wedding rings.”
We are both 75 years old at heart. We both love: jigsaw puzzles, cat adorned apparel, lighthouses, reading, going for walks, and sitting in front of the fire. Both of us prefer a quiet night at home vs going to the bars. We also have fun doing the most mundane things like food shopping and running errands. To me (Andrew) personally, I love how I want to keep thinking of new ways to make her smile and laugh.”
