From Julie Anne Photography…After much research on venues and wedding costs in Atlanta, Danny and Urszula decided on forgoeing the big wedding and opted for an intimate destination wedding in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. They flew 20 of their closest friends and family to Mexico for a week at the all inclusive resort, Royal Hideaway Playcar. Their goal was simple- a low key, intimate beach wedding. Keeping the attire light and airy, Urszula chose a one shoulder gown, while the bridesmaids wore dusty blush chiffon gowns and the groom and his men chose lightweight grey suits from Men’s Wearhouse with grey linen shoes. The day started off smooth with onsite hair and makeup so the bride and her maids could relax and drink bubbly while getting ready. The couple opted for a first look so they could enjoy cocktail hour with their guests. In mid-summer sun, we were able to find a private spot with some shade for their first look. The ceremony took place overlooking the Gulf of Mexico with it’s turquois blue waters and soft sand. As the bride made her long walk from the villas to the beach, the whole resort stood and clapped in celebration. It was the neatest experience. The cocktail hour and dinner were setup right next to the beach so guests could enjoy the salty air and sound of the waves the entire evening. With 20 guests in tow, the couple could have all their guests at one large square table so all were included in friendly conversation. The bride and groom wanted to make sure their guests had all the essentials, so they provided beach bags with koozies, sunscreen, aloe, ibuprofen and a few other goodies.
