Liberty State Park Elopement Editorial Inspiration
Every once in awhile wedding portraits land in our inbox that just take our breath away. This elopement editorial proves that sometimes all you need is a great location along the Hudson, modern attire, minimal details and a couple who can clearly work a camera. Grace Jicha is sharing all the details below!
From Grace Jicha…As the photographer for this shoot, I also acted as the creative director, which was really fun for me to plan! Elena and Ben got engaged a few months ago and I knew they would be the perfect models for our summer elopement-styled shoot at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ. My style is very modern and leans more toward the creative/editorial side. We went for a form-fitting dress to really showcase the model’s posing, as well as a relaxed updo to complement her natural curls. I wanted to mix the more serious artistic posing and imagery with whimsical spring florals.
The bride donned a mermaid style gown designed by Made With Love Bridal. The strapless number featured a boned corset, sheer, low back with hand sewn 3d intricate lace detailing.
We just love how the floral pattern tie brings a softer and delicate style to the groom’s look, while still maintaining a formal classic style when paired with a black suit and simple boutonnière made of an anemone and rose.
Pastel-colored florals not only added a pop of color, but complemented the location. Made by Cozy Style Living, the bouquet incorporated anemone, ranunculus, spray roses–some of our favorite blooms–and loose greenery for a whimsy feel.
