MODERN COUNTRY CLUB WEDDING IN ROCHESTER NEW YORK BY LAFOUNTAIN PHOTOGRAPHY
It goes without saying there’s certainly something special about summer weddings here in the Northeast. But when the nuptials are all about tradition with a focus on the union of two families? Well, that’s when our hearts truly sing. That’s exactly what you’ll find throughout this modern country club wedding gallery brought to us by LaFountain Photography LLC. Love is pretty evident through each and every photo and you can see it all below!
From LaFoutain Photography…Emily and Pete hosted their friends and families on the historic grounds of The Country Club of Rochester for their August wedding. The well-manicured grounds, blooming flower beds, and lush golf greens made the perfect backdrop for their Summer wedding. Spending the day capturing Emily & Pete’s wedding at The Country Club of Rochester, it was so apparent not only how much love these two have for each other but how much love their families have for them both. I loved how humble and well-balanced both Emily & Pete were about their wedding. From our first conversation, they had expressed to me that this wedding was about their marriage and their families. This theme of tradition, family, and legacy was very apparent throughout the weekend. During the rehearsal dinner, Pete gave a quick speech recognizing and thanking both sides of the family for their guidance and contributions towards the wedding and towards him and Emily as individuals and as a couple. There was barely a dry eye after that.
“I used to work at Heart to Heart Bride in Webster; we would take pictures of people in dresses for the business page’s social media so brides could see what they look like on a wide variety of frames. We had gotten this Lillian West gown in, and it was my size, so I decided to try it on for a social media post. I remember I was in the room by myself; I got it on, turned around, and bam. “We can’t post this one. I really like this… I think It’s my dress!” Of course, I was sending pictures to my mom showing her. It was perfect! Textured all over with a variety of intricate details. And it was so flipping comfortable! Keep in mind this was before Pete, and I had gotten engaged. When he popped the question, we had talked in passing with family about when we would want to get married; we had gotten engaged at the end of January 2021. We knew we wanted a summer wedding, and I knew ship dates were tight, so I order my dress three days later before anyone had seen it. I, of course, had an appointment and tried on other dresses, but everyone knew I had found my dress (I didn’t know that I bought it, though). My reaction when I put my dress on to show everyone was intense. I cried like a baby because I loved it so much. It just felt me, and that’s what I loved most.”
The morning started when I met Pete and the guys at his hotel room at the Del Monte Lodge. We were lucky enough to be right next to the canal and have some great morning light for photos! After a few photos of Pete and the guys, I was off to meet Emily and the girls at the Women’s Lounge at The Country Club of Rochester.
“Peter’s mom is a member, so when we were first talking about where we wanted to get married, The Country Club of Rochester came up. The fact that we could have both the ceremony and reception at one space was a plus for us. The convenience of having both parts on the same site made it seem like our day would run that much smoother. We wanted our guests not to have to worry about travel time from the ceremony site to the reception site, on top of having enough parking and bathrooms for everyone.”
“All the arrangements were placed spaciously, and the tent was a perfect size. Everyone had options to dance, hang on the lawn, sit by the fire pit, or under an umbrella. The bars were never packed, and everyone was able to relax and enjoy each other’s company! I was very pleased with the flow of the whole ceremony and reception. From start to finish, I never felt rushed, and we were able to capture every special moment throughout; thanks to you, Casey!”
“We have two sets of grandparents that aren’t earthside with us, my mom’s parents and Peter’s mom’s parents, so finding a way to include them was important to us. Peter asked for pictures to be at the ceremony of both sets of our grandparents and had a moment of silence at our rehearsal dinner for them *insert puppy eye emoji* My mom had a little charm made with her parents’ pictures on them for my flowers and I wore my grandmother’s wedding and engagement rings. Peter’s mom had her mother’s bracelet that two of his cousins had worn for their wedding that I wore; it felt amazing to be included in the tradition. My earrings were a mix of things: a new set that my little sister Hannah and I split, and each wore one, two of my mom’s, and one that I bought new for myself.”
