A RUSTIC CHIC WEDDING AT THE REFINERY AT PERONA FARMS BY JESSE RINKA PHOTOGRAPHY

We love a good relationship story and Lyndsay and Chris’ certainly doesn’t disappoint! The two met during happy hour on a quiet Wednesday night. Lyndsay even mentioned that she doesn’t usually go out during the week, but decided to meet her friend for a drink after work. “Meeting my future husband that night was certainly not something I ever could’ve thought happening,” Lyndsay admitted. Fast forward to December 2019. Every month Lyndsay and Chris alternate planning date night, and this particular month, Chris requested Lyndsay take a half day off work. It was at The Refinery Rooftop in NYC where Chris reserved a table for them facing the Empire State Building. As they headed outside to take in the view, the private rooftop was decorated with rose petals and candles and Chris got down on one knee to propose. Talk about the best night ever! From Jesse Rinka Photography…We have known Lyndsay ever since she was little. She has always loved the details in life, so we knew that her wedding to Chris would be nothing short of unique and beyond our expectation! From the gorgeous green wall during ceremony, to the amazing rainbow after they said their “i do’s” to the industrial elegant ballroom. Perona Farms was nothing short of the imagination! We truly hope you enjoy viewing their love story wedding as much as we loved photographing it!

We both had the same vision of  “Different” for our big day, especially pertaining to the venue. When we came across The Refinery at Perona Farms we knew we had found the one. We booked the venue based off of the computer renderings, as it was a brand new venue being built! The venue itself is an Industrial Style featuring a polished concrete dance floor, exposed copper piping in the cocktail hour area, white washed brick and the part that stole our hearts most-the ceremony room! It is such a unique space with a glass retractable roof & siding, giving that perfect indoor/outdoor feel no matter the weather, & a grand live green wall behind the alter. Our color scheme and decor consisted of a neutral color palette wild gold and live greenery accents. We were married by Reverend Patrick of To Have and to Hold Ministries. He did a beautiful job getting to know us and honoring our loved ones who passed in the ceremony.

The ceremony was the favorite part of the couples day. A trio of strings played romantic hits, including “Wildest Dreams” by Taylor Swift and “Can’t Help Falling In Love” by Elvis Presley for the processionals. The couple also wrote and exchanged their own personal vows.

My mom is very crafty and did several DIY decor projects! She made our place cards, card box, & ring bearer pillow, all in which moss was incorporated. I didn’t want traditional floral centerpieces, I was set on big gold trees. It was a tough hunt, but I finally came across a florist who was selling these big gorgeous tree centerpieces. My mom sprayed all of them gold for us & decorated the branches with some crystals and candles. We kept the ceremony decor simple to let the reception room itself shine.

During the reception guests were treated to a surprise photo booth, signature drink named “The Perfect Pair”, and were sent home with mini donuts.
