Desarae and Michael’s early March wedding at Skyview Golf Club was romantic and elegant with a boho twist. The bride stunned in a beaded Morilee Madeline Gardner gown featuring a form-fitted trumpet silhouette, low back, and dreamy bohemian-style sleeves. Their reception in the ballroom, adorned with sparkling chandeliers and a cozy fireplace, highlighted a sophisticated color palette of white, cream, and terracotta. From Photography by Orlando…Oh, what a delightful pair Mike and Desarae make! Their story is one that warms the heart, tracing back to their early days in Cedar Grove High School. While they shared the same hallways, Desarae being a grade senior to Mike meant their paths never quite intertwined at that point. Their acquaintance was casual, and they knew of each other, but that was the extent of it. It wasn’t until several years later, in 2014, when destiny decided to throw them back into each other’s lives. Both found themselves working at the local hotspot, the Grasshopper, in Cedar Grove, New Jersey. Mike, the busboy, and Desarae, the waitress, found their orbits finally colliding, and a beautiful romance began to blossom. As the saying goes, the rest is history. With their relationship moving from strength to strength, they found their way to my studio. Thanks to Desarae’s sisters, who work in the wedding industry, and had worked with me on numerous occasions, they recommended me for their wedding photography and videography. With such high praise from Desarae’s sisters, they entrusted me with capturing their big day, continuing a tradition as I had done the same for several of their family and friends’ weddings. The wedding ceremony took place at the breathtaking Skyview Golf Club, nestled in the heart of Sparta, New Jersey. This venue, with its stunning vistas, offers endless opportunities for capturing unforgettable photos and videos. Despite the rain’s attempts to dampen the day, it did not succeed in diminishing the joy and beauty of their celebration. We managed to create some truly stunning images, capturing the essence of their love and the joy of the day.
A brief respite from the rain gave us a window of opportunity, and we seized it, rushing outside to take some fun, romantic images against the backdrop of the Skyview Golf Club’s beauty.
The reception at Skyview Golf Club exuded timeless elegance, with gold chiavari chairs, champagne-overlaid linens, and delicate floral arrangements designed by Kuperus Farmside Gardens. Crystal chandeliers and a flower-adorned fireplace added a touch of grandeur, while floating candles and intricate centerpieces created a romantic ambiance for guests.
