For ALL Couples Getting Married

This bride has the best wedding advice for couples who are currently planning their special day. “First thing– start early (especially when it comes to booking a venue/vendors), remain organized, and keep a budget.  Additionally, don’t sweat the small stuff.  Most of the things that you will get worked up about will not matter in the long run, so it’s not worth stressing about. It is better to live in the moment and soak in one of the most beautiful days of your life. This also holds true of many things in life and during marriage!” We couldn’t agree more with Monica’s wedding tips. And based on her and Scott’s photos captured through the lens of Asher Gardner, well it just goes to show they truly did live in the moment. Not to mention, there were just enough romantic details (hello, pretty posies created by 3 Happy Bees Florist) and elements that were meaningful to both the bride and groom. Just take a peek for yourself below!

From Asher Gardner…Scott and Monica’s Summer wedding was such a beautiful mix of romantic and classical elements featuring an amazing venue and color story!

Overall, we wanted something special, intimate, and cozy to reflect our personalities and our relationship throughout the years. Our color palette was a mixture of blush, gold, white, and navy—which to us was a timeless yet elegant option. Our venue included a unique combination of all, providing beautiful waterfront with sunset views. We had a traditional Catholic ceremony including a full mass, which was very important to us and our families.

The bouquets were composed of blush and white roses along with some greenery. Our centerpieces included floating candles and the flowers were similar to the bouquets. To close out the reception, our cake included real flowers of the same color palette as well. This created a nice symbolic link from the beginning of our day to the end.

As Sea Cliff Manor itself is a historic mansion, it offered an old world feel but nicely incorporated bits of modern elegance. We had the cocktail hour outside in the beautiful garden overlooking the waterfront during the sunset. The reception area was full of neutral/soft cream colors and a large stone fireplace, which we decorated with eucalyptus garland and candles. We did work on a few DIYs. We utilized Etsy for our menus, name cards, and specialty drink signs. We also made the wedding favors, which were rosemary infused olive oil bottles.
