How about starting off the week with a super sweet love story? After meeting back in 2009 at the JFK Airport and hitting it off, Maria and Mateusz both knew in their hearts they had found their partner for life. “Mateusz is so genuine and caring, and I can be myself around him,” Maria shared. After asking for Maria’s parents’ permission, Mateusz popped the question with a timeless solitaire ring. The two decided to tie the knot during a civil ceremony on August 12, 2014, but that didn’t stop them from planning the wedding of their dreams in the company of their nearest and dearest exactly four years later. The couple decided to see each other for the first time as Maria walked down the aisle of St. Vincent Martyr Roman Catholic Church, which was chosen for it’s quaint locale and stunning architecture.
Maria’s Pronovias bridal gown wasn’t originally what she envisioned for her wedding day, but the silhouette hugged her figure and made her feel beautiful. The gown featured an illusion neckline in crystal tulle, lace, and gemstone appliqués with a draped skirt made of crepe and tulle and a discreet crepe bow at the waistline. White Tibet roses, white lisianthus, off-white spray roses, O’Hara garden roses, and stephanotis made up the bride’s bouquet.
The reception was held at The Manor, chosen for its immaculate grounds and gardens. Additionally, Maria and Mateusz were impressed with the warm and welcoming staff. “From our very first appointment at The Manor, Rolf (our event coordinator) made our experience very personalized. He was professional, made sure to ask all the necessary questions, and offered all possible menu selections. Throughout the process, Rolf was very responsive, detailed, and made sure to always let us know when he would be out of the office in the event we had questions or concerns,” the couple raved.
