This couple has the cutest story to go along with their beautiful summer wedding at the Pleasantdale Château. Michele and Anthony met during a mutual friend’s birthday gathering at Café Wha in Manhattan of April of 2015. The two were casually introduced and ended up sharing a cab together with a few friends later that night. Anthony even told his friend that he was going to marry her! The next morning, Michele’s friend mentioned that Anthony had asked for her number, and the rest was history. They talked via text and decided to meet after work one evening for happy hour. The next week they went on their official first date at Tavern on the Green in Central Park, and in June of 2017, they moved in together. On September 29, 2018 Michele thought they were going to brunch at the Boathouse in Central Park. While they were walking there, Anthony wanted to take a photo at their spot. He asked someone to snap a picture of them, and three more people appeared next to Michele who then broke out in a cappella version of their favorite song, “Baby, I Love Your Way” by Big Mountain. It was there Anthony proposed with a classic round pavé-style engagement ring. From 5th Avenue Digital…This East Coast couples love story surrounds all of their milestones. They met through mutual friends, first date and proposal were both in Central Park.
Our ceremony was held at Immaculate Conception Church in Montclair, NJ. We chose this church for a couple reasons, it is absolutely stunning inside and my sister and brother-in-law were also married there, so there was sentimental value.
Michele walked down the aisle escorted by her father at Immaculate Conception Church. “I felt so incredibly grateful and beautiful walking towards the man I love,” the bride reminisced. Following their religious ceremony, the newlyweds exited the church as bubbles filled the air and then shared a champagne toast.
The reception was held at the Pleasantdale Château, which was chosen for the secluded location, breathtaking grounds, history, and grandiose ballroom. Michele and Anthony also particularly loved the greenhouse room and on-site accommodations. The reception space was filled with alternating high and low centerpieces made up of dendrobium orchids and Amaranthus, which perfectly complemented the cream table linens and chairs with pale pink cushions. Michele and Anthony dined under a lush floral arch that created a romantic sweetheart table for two.
