Take a peek below.

From John Malloy Photography…When Yulia and Alex asked me to photograph their wedding, I was so excited. Before I actually met them, it was because I love weddings at The Cork Factory Hotel. They chose The Cork Factory because of it’s perfect location for both of their families. The industrial chic-boutique hotel is set in a 19th Century factory and is a popular wedding venue in downtown Lancaster, Pennsylvania. After spending time with them at their engagement session, I was even more excited because Alex and Yulia are such an amazing couple! They’re super sweet and their love for each other is so evident! They both totally have their A game when it comes to a photo shoot. Yulia brought some awesome props and the shoot ended up being one of the funnest I’ve done. I know you’ll love their photos.

Yulia had just moved to Philadelphia and didn’t know anyone. Hoping to make some new acquaintances, she met Alex on line. For their first date, Alex took her to Talula’s Garden, an urban farm to table restaurant, known for it’s eclectic decor and gorgeous outdoor garden patio. From the start, Yulia thought Alex was intelligent and well spoken. Conversation came easy on that first date and Alex loved that Yulia was so animated and didn’t seem to be have a loss for words. The first date was a success, and soon they were dating exclusively.

The day came for Alex to ask Yulia to spend the rest of her life with him. They had dinner reservations in New York City, at NoMad, another amazing restaurant, on Broadway. Yulia had no idea what Alex had planned so when he asked her to marry him, she was so shocked. She said yes, and began dreaming of the day she would say “I do” to the love of her life.

It’s so obvious how compatible they are and how each of them are uniquely gifted and use those gifts to compliment each each other. When I asked Yulia what she loves most about Alex, I love her answer.. Her words…”There are so many things I love about Alex. I’m very lucky to have found him! He is so calm and level headed. I tend to be a bit over the top and he’s there to level me out. He’s always so helpful with big things and little things. I love that he brings me tea, and cheers me up if I’m feeling down. He’s made me a better person. I’m very creative and Alex is very organized so a lot of his qualities have rubbed off on me. We’ve spent so much time together in quarantine and have become even closer. (Although I still can’t wait to travel together) Alex is always up for trying something new. I can say a lot but he truly is my best friend and the most important person in my life.” Alex’s answer is so sweet. “I think that Yulia is loving and kind. She’s very optimistic and brings sunshine to my life. We have many inside jokes and Yulia knows how to cheer me up if I ever have a bad day. I appreciate that Yulia is always supportive and look forward to spending my life with such an amazing girl.”
